You may participate in a real-world event to mark Subway Surfers' 11th anniversary, mobile game developer SYBO Games announced this morning. The new Hoverboard Hunt competition has begun, and it will take place in Copenhagen through June 5th. Fans will be able to take part in the celebration over the course of the following three weeks both in-person and via all five in-game locations thanks to this event. The summary and a few team quotes regarding this one are provided below for your reading pleasure.
SYBO Games is giving fans the opportunity to interact with the popular game in real life for the first time in the history of the firm in honor of Subway Surfers' Danish heritage. With special QR codes scattered throughout Copenhagen that unlock special in-game incentives, local gamers may explore the city to learn about the cultural influences that gave rise to Subway Surfers in 2012. The Copenhagen Airport, the Royal Danish Library (The Black Diamond), BLOX, Creative Denmark, and Tivoli Gardens are just a few of the city's most well-known attractions that may be reached via the Hoverboard Hunt. Each scavenger hunt site has a QR code and artwork made in the style of Subway Surfers that is great for pictures. In order to find the secret site, players must visit all five a whole collection of surprises, as each code reveals a different in-game prize. Up until June 5, the popular Subway Surfers World Tour, which transports players to a different destination across the world every month in-game, is set in Copenhagen, allowing gamers from all over the world to take part in the celebration. Players can visit all five of the game's Hoverboard Hunt locations throughout the course of the following three weeks.
According to Mathias Gredal Nrvig, CEO of SYBO Games, "We've long used Subway Surfers' anniversary to celebrate our Danish roots and connect with our fanbase through new, interactive content." We wanted to go a step further this year and give players a chance to interact with the game away from their mobile devices. We're honored to collaborate with some of Copenhagen's most prestigious landmarks to introduce the Subway Surfers world to the outside world for the first time.
Niels Folmann, Chief Commercial Officer of Tivoli, said, "At Tivoli, we are always excited to see other renowned Copenhagen-based entertainment brands focused on promoting our city. We are happy to be featured among other iconic destinations on the Hoverboard Hunt." "We hope that this will encourage even more Danish and international visitors to visit Tivoli, which can now be enjoyed both in real life and within the mobile game Subway Surfers!"
